ProSocial Dynamics, LLC’s coaching philosophy is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).
An ACT coach helps clients to promote “psychological flexibility”: being fully present in the moment and, as a conscious human being, being able to flexibly change or to maintain a behavior that will move the client toward what is needed in the moment to achieve valued goals. Psychological flexibility may be described as the cornerstone of healthy personal and social functioning. It is not enough to be socially and emotionally intelligent if one is not also adept with socially and emotionally intelligent behaviors.
ACT coaching provides the skills to be both socially and emotionally intelligent while exhibiting socially and emotionally intelligent behaviors.ACT considers psychological flexibility as a skill that can be developed. An ACT coach helps clients to explore and grow in ACT’s six core processes:
WE CAN HELP YOU MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLIMBING THE RIGHT STAIRCASE AND WALK WITH YOU TO CLIMB TO THE TOP
An ACT coach will assess the level of current level of a client’s psychological flexibility and works with the client to build these skill areas.
The opposite of psychological flexibility is psychological rigidity, a state in which one is stuck in one’s own head and unable to move towards valued goals with ease and agility. Psychological flexibility underpins prosociality. Clients who receive coaching after participating in the ProSocial Process training are more fluid and skilled at committing their attention and energy towards values-based group participation and strong performance.
ProSocial Dynamics, LLC, has access to expert ACT coaches around the world and can provide coaching in many different languages.
